Chance's End aka Ryan Avery-(U.S.A)
Excellent production. A complete remix with variation throughout. Great use of samples provided yet as Ryan mentioned in his covering letter 'large liberties taken!' Wicked.
Marcel Moch (Germany)
Massive! Great loungey feel, tripped out and distorted vibes throughout. Laid back yet addictively funky. Simple and stays in your head. Sweet.
Congratulations !
The winning tracks will feature on a forthcoming Feltpeople 12" release and the artist responsible will receive exclusive signed test pressings prior to release.
The top five entries are listed as follows (in no particular order)
Ali MacGregor (Scotland) - '2,3,4 Step Remix'
A top entry, experimenting with a excellent rhythmic and melodic variations throughout. One of the best uses of the bass sample provided an excellent groove to the track.
Andreas Stuhlmann (Germany) - 'Kellart Remix'
More uptempo, D&B influenced in places. Nice cuts of the supplied drum loops. Excellent double bass licks.
Victor Tverdochlibov (Slovakia) - 'Labuda Remix'
A strictly lo-fi affair, quirky, minimal yet strangely addictive.
Damian Ryan (Australia) - 'Bright Sunny Day Mix'
Refreshingly clean mix. Great guitar and replacement of the bass sample. Well produced.
Ludo Vos (Belgium) - 'Tripoli Remix'
Hard edged breakbeat remix. Nice use of time stretched vocal samples.
