Kurt Tabbada Wood
Studio Manager / Engineer

Meet Kurt! He's our new studio manager! He's your first port of call with regards to booking the studio and making enquiries. General or technical, it doesn't matter because Kurt is an experienced studio and live sound engineer. He's also also a very experienced musician; working in and with touring bands across the UK. He's also worked as a stage technician at Leeds and Reading Festivals in 2008 and also the Beat Herder Festival in 2009. He's also worked on audio for film in both production and post production for notable companies L'Institute Zoomn West Riding Media and Absolute Productions.
He also handles our live sound recording services and runs his own record label!

Steve Fenton
Freelance Producer/Engineer

Steve is a well-established and much sought after freelance Producer & Engineer. He has worked on a large number of album, single and remix projects, many with acclaimed artists such as The Happy Mondays, T-Rex, Clive Russel, John Helliwell, Mike Walker, New Mastersounds, Mark Hart, Widgykeff, Sunny D Levine, Operator Six, Exit State, Mabel Blue and more. With loads of radio play and rotation credits, records of the week, and a true love for projects he works on, Steve is the Producer to work with!
If he didn't work hard enough, he's also a Senior Lecturer in Music Technology and is researching for a PhD in Audio Quality in Music Production. |
Steve Whitfield

Steve has worked all over Britain, France, Canada and US in Pro Studios. He worked with The Cure for 6 months on their biggest selling album ‘Wish’ – featuring the single ‘Friday I’m In Love’
He's also Produced and Engineered with Terrorvision, Shed Seven, The Mission, Trashcan Sinatras, Black Wire, Yann Tiersen, The Pale Saints, Kava Kava, Jonjo Feather, The Black Bloc, Extra Curricular, Immune, The Scaremongers/Simon Armitage, The Dead Pets, Vib Gyor, Buen Chico, Four Day Hombre, Milloy, Les Thugs on various albums and singles. In addition he's working with John Le Carre and lots of dance music/electronica & hip hop artists.
Having workd with labels such as Polydor, Elektra, Geffen, Emi, Fierce Panda, Moon Ska & China Records, Steve is also available to produce/engineer high quality demos. |
Mark Mynett
Freelance Producer/Engineer

Mark has been involved involved in Pro Audio for over 15 years and had 6 internationally released albums as guitarist for the bands China Beach, Kill II This and City of God. After moving into production, he has had releases on Universal, Sony and more, working with bands like Godsized,
Gone Til Winter, Psylence and Head On to name but a few.
If you're needing a release quality extreme/black/death/metal production, Mark is the man for the job. |
James Mottershead
Freelance Producer/Engineer

James Mottershead is our newest freelance engineer/producer. He's worked with many well known artists including British Sea Power, Gavin Friday, Susheela Raman, Kensington, N-Dubz, & Smokie.
He's worked as an engineer alongide producers such as Ken Thomas, Simon Humphrey, James Kenosha, Lars Pederson, Afreex (Kelvin Avon) & Matt Foster and has release credits on labels including Rough Trade, Universal, Rubyworks, All Around the World and King Prawn Records.

Lee McCarthy
Freelance Producer/Engineer

Lee is a first class engineer/producer. He's worked on many unsigned demos and recordings for record labels, such as Atlantic Records. Lee is comfortable with all genres whether producing or engineering. Aswell as studio based work, Lee has also undertaken a lot of live engineering with bands including Yeti, Sham 69 and The Troubadours.
Lee is also part of the Sugar House Music production team. |
Michail Gounelas
In-house Engineer

Michael G has a first class honours degree in Music Technology and Audio Systems. Although he has a background in electronic music, he has engineered numerous bands ranging from rock and metal to blues and trip hop. In addition to his skills as an engineer, he brings a wealth of experience in the design and build of custom audio gear and audio/visual software.
Aside of the studio, Michael has collaborated with a number of visual and media artists from around the world (Spain, France, Greece, etc.). |
