Calder Recordings cater for all your recording needs from
first demos to major album or single releases. With the
combination of superb equipment, experienced staff and a
great vibe, you will achieve recordings of the highest
quality.
The studio is a purpose built complex offering both
digital or analogue recording. It's luxurious, comfortable,
relaxed and very well equipped. It's situated in the
picturesque Calder Valley, on the slopes of the Pennines
close to Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Within easy reach of
the M62 we are easily accessible.
We don't have a city centre location,
therefore we have lower costs. We pass on these savings to
our clients by offering lower session rates.
The studio has grown rapidly and has gained a reputation
for providing excellent results and is a first class
environment for any recording or rehearsal project. With an
ever expanding client base and the ability to provide a
one-stop-shop solution to your needs, we're confident you
will get the results you want.
Artists come to Calder Recordings knowing that they will
get the best results whilst not breaking their budget. All
our clients feel comfortable and relaxed in our idyllic
countryside location, a setting that encourages great
creativity.
The acoustically treated main room is 280 square foot in
size which is ample room for any band and all their
equipment.
The Control Room is fully equipped with a 72 channel
fully automated Mackie digital console, the very latest Pro Tools HD3 System, racks of
outboard, quality monitors and of course a nice comfy sofa
for you to sit back on and listen to your music!
We have a wide selection of quality microphones including
Neumann, Rode & AKG. We use the very best Microphone pre-amps to capture the 'complete' sound in the analogue domain.
We have a separate MIDI suite, equipped with sequencers, racks of synths,
samplers, loads of plug-ins and more. This room is fully
networked to the main control room.
Our Drum Room is equipped with an in-house Peavey kit but
your welcome to bring your own if required. The drum booth
is supplied by Clearsonic and is completely removable if a
larger main room area is required.
We have ample storage space and parking for use during
sessions. We also have a fully equipped kitchen area with
fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle etc. Not forgetting the
DVD player, TV, video games and free refreshments. We also
have broadband internet access that you're free to use.
Several quality restaurants, inns and B&B’s serve the
area. Being on the side of the Pennines, it is frequently
used by hikers and there are many places to relax and
unwind, ideal for a boost of inspiration! For more
